Acts of Solidarity and Resistance (1967-1974)

What constitutes an act of resistance? Can a banner unfurled during a football game between Olympiacos and Juventus raise awareness in the Italian society of a dictatorship in the European South? Can a travel boycott campaign in Scandinavia challenge the international image of a dictatorial regime? This interactive timeline, specially designed for the project, was compiled after comprehensive research into the anti-dictatorship publications Eleftheri Patrida [Free Homeland] and Eleftheri Ellada [Free Greece] and documents anti-dictatorship actions big and small, creating a record of largely unknown acts of resistance to the dictatorial regime and expressions of solidarity to the Greek people.
